Dave and his wife Barb moved to the village of Newburg after he earned his Accounting degree from Marquette University. He has been involved in Scouting with his three sons and two grandsons, all Eagle Scouts. He has been active at the troop level and has served as Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster, Committee Chairman and currently is Treasurer of Troop 780 and 6780. Dave is active in the Order of the Arrow as a Vigil member, having served as Chapter Advisor and currently Associate Advisor of Finance. He has been awarded the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver, Centurian Award and Founders Award.
Dave has been a long-time supporter of Gardner Dam Scout Camp, going back to 1986, when he first brought his Troop to summer camp. He has returned, with his Troop, to Summer Camp every year through 2018. He has been a fill in staff member and could be found at the waterfront being the lookout in the tower while at camp. After retiring, he joined the camp staff as the Climbing Director in 2019. Dave said “I am looking forward to being Camp Director and making sure the Gardner Dam Camp staff provide the Webelos Scouts a memorable and fun time at camp.” Please join us in welcoming Dave as our Gardner Dam Camp Director.
