Join us in congratulating these recent Bay-Lakes Council Eagle Scouts:

Alec Bricco is a member of Troop 629 out of Winneconne, WI. Troop 629 is chartered by the Lord of the Lakes Church.
Alec completed his Eagle Board of Review on January 16, 2023.
His Eagle project benefited the Winneconne Area Assistance Center, the local food pantry.
In his words:
“I led a group of Scouts and parents in constructing a cedar sign to advertise the pantry and its location. My volunteers also cleaned and then painted the food pantry office, entryway, and kitchen. I donated $400 of additional funds I raised to the pantry. The pantry is located in a historic church. The board of the WAAC was very appreciative of the clean and freshly painted new areas in the pantry. The board and community got many positive comments on how the new sign clearly showed the location and services of the food pantry.”
His unit leader is Phil Sperling.
The date for his Court of Honor is yet to be determined.
Jacob Hagerty is a member of Troop 1201 out of Green Bay, WI. Troop 1201 is chartered by the Baird School PTO.
Jacob completed his Eagle Board of Review on February 14, 2023.
His Eagle Project in his words:
“My project was five boot brush stations used to clean hiker’s shoes of plant seeds. This is done to deter invasive plant species spread, most of which happens by humans bringing the seeds accidentally with them on their shoes. UWGB every year has to do huge projects to keep the forest around its campus free of invasive plants. With my project, this unintentional plant migration should be stopped, allowing the natural ecosystem to thrive. The project also includes information on how to prevent invasive species spread on its sign, helping grow awareness of a problem most users of UWGB’s trails would have no idea about.”
His unit leader is Jake Brott.
The Court of Honor will be April 23, 2023.
Sam Hemr is a member of Troop 865 out of Mequon, WI. Troop 865 is chartered by the Sunrise Rotary Club.
Sam completed his Eagle Board of Review on December 21, 2022.
His Eagle Project in his own words:
“I refurbished a canoe launch area at River Barn Park in Mequon. I also added a staircase to reach the water level safely. I chose this project because I enjoyed a canoeing experience at Northern Tier and wanted to help others create memories of canoeing.”
His unit leader is Joshua Vetter.
A Court of Honor is planned for April 23, 2023.
Andrew Nelson is a member of Troop 1902 out of Peshtigo, WI. Troop 1902 is chartered by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Andrew completed his Eagle Board of Review on January 17, 2023.
In his words:
“For my Eagle Project, I fundraised, built, and donated 22 bikes and 8 helmets to my local chapter of Saint Vincent de Paul. These Bikes served as Christmas gifts to children in need around the area. I funded the project through donations from local businesses, a bike donation from my scoutmaster, and my personal Boy Scout account. As for volunteers, many Scouts from my Troop helped out with assembling the bikes.”
His unit leader at the time was Mark Fessenden.
The date for his Court of Honor is to be determined.
Jack Schubert is a member of Troop 835 out of Cedarburg, WI. Troop 835 is chartered by the American Legion Post of Cedarburg.
