Join us in congratulating these recent Bay-Lakes Council Eagle Scouts:

Mitchell Drescher, Troop 904, Manitowoc, WI, Lakeshore District

Christopher Jackson, Troop 701, Fond du Lac, WI, Ledge to Lakes District

Mitchell Drescher is a member of Troop 904, chartered by AmVets Post 99 of Manitowoc, WI.

Mitchell completed his Eagle Board of Review on January 18, 2024.

In his words, “I designed, fabricated and installed two Musky shaped bike racks on the east and west sides of the Wisconsin Maritime Museum off the biking path. I also installed a bike maintenance station and information Kiosk on the Ice Age Trail that runs between the back of the museum and the USS Cobia Submarine exhibit installed on the Manitowoc River. Visitors to the Maritime Museum who ride their bike now have a place to lock their bikes while exploring the museum and downtown. Additionally, the bike maintenance station on the Ice Age Trail behind the museum gives bikers on the trail a place to fix any bike issues they are having. The Information Kiosk lets the people on the trail know about upcoming Wisconsin Maritime Museum and community events.”

His unit leader is Rob Koza.

Mitchell’s Eagle Court of Honor was April 7, 2024 at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, during which time he took his guests on a walking tour of the grounds, showing them his Eagle project

Christopher Jackson is a member of Troop 701, chartered by Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church of Fond du Lac, WI.

Christopher completed his Eagle Board of Review on January 16, 2024.

In his own words, “My Eagle Scout Project consisted of building 30 8-foot modular fences for EAA. Each had 20 boards which we pre-cut, painted white, and assembled. Our entire Troop assisted in the painting and assembly over a weekend campout on EAA’s grounds. These fences will be used for a variety of tasks, like crowd control. EAA was in need of more fences to assist with this during their large events, like Airventure.

His unit leader is Ryan Jackson.

Christopher’s Eagle Court of Honor was April 23, 2024.
