Shawn Deichsel is a member of Troop 701, chartered by Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac WI.
He completed Eagle Board of Review on August 20, 2024. Shawn’s eagle project consisted of making 15 fidget boards for four different facilities throughout Fox Valley, which went to Harbor Haven, Frontida Nursing Homes, and Treffert Center in Fond du Lac and the final location being Fox Valley Autism. The fidget boards were specifically made for people who have Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Autism. Without the fidget boards these patients wouldn’t have anything to do which would end up having the potential of harming themselves.
His unit leader is Ryan Jackson. Shawn’s Eagle Court of Honor was held October 22, 2024.
Logan Franczek is a member Troop 79, chartered by the Hilbert WI Lions Club.
He completed his Eagle Board of Review on November 21, 2024.
In his words, “My project was to replace and lengthen an existing bridge in the woods behind my school. This will allow the trail to be used once again by Hilbert’s athletics, academics, and the community.”
His unit leader is Joe Loose. The date of Logan’s Eagle Court of Honor date is yet to be determined.
Dane Freund is a member of Troop 833, chartered by the Kiel WI Lions Club.
He completed his Eagle Board of Review on November 20, 2024.
In his words, “I raised money, purchased, and installed a pier on the Sheboygan River in Sission Park in Kiel, Wisconsin. This project benefits the Kiel Recreation Department, who plans to use the area to host fun family events during the summertime, such as a Sunset Kayak event.”
His unit leader is Eugene Loose. Dane’s Eagle Court of Honor is being planned for May of 2025.
Brett Hensley is a member of Troop 411, chartered by the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Escanaba, MI.
He completed his Eagle Board of Review on November 22, 2024.
For his Eagle project, Brett developed a GaGa Ball Pit for one of the city parks. “It’s an octagon shape pit made of wood, it’s a variation of dodgeball. I chose a GaGa Ball Pit because the city didn’t have one and I thought the city would enjoy it. I put it in Ludington park which is in the city of Escanaba. I did this project with the help of 41 Lumber and about 8 helpers.
His unit leader is Craig Worepoel. Brett’s Eagle Court of Honor Date is scheduled for February 22, 2025.
Hunter Totman is a member of Troop 1038, chartered by St. Anne’s Episcopal Church of De Pere WI. He completed his Eagle Board of Review on October 8, 2024. In his words, “ During my Eagle Project, I planted 8 apple trees on the Saint Norbert College Campus to create a community orchard for the staff and students of the college. This provides a spot for students and staff to enjoy the beauty of nature and to pick apples of their liking.” His unit leader is Matthew Wegmann. Hunter’s Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for January 18, 2025
