We are heading into the 2024 popcorn sale full steam! Below are some hot topic reminders for this week!

  • Scout Sale Kits – these materials were passed out at your District Membership/Popcorn Hype parties. If you were unable to attend, please reach out to your District Popcorn Team to connect to get the materials you need.  Not sure who your District Popcorn team is? Not to worry, here is the link to their contact information: https://baylakesbsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/2024-Popcorn-Kernels-Staff-Contacts-1.pdf. As soon as your Scouts receive their sales forms, they are welcome to start selling. Online sales are also open and ready for use!
  • Show and Sell Ordering – Order is due Sunday, September 1st by 11:59pm – The show and sell order is open and ready to take your orders on the Pecatonica River System. A couple reminders for you before you place your order:
    • We suggest you order 80% of what your total sale was in 2023 as a starting point for your 2024 order. If you need help with putting an order together, check out the Suggested Order for Show and Sell workbook on the popcorn webpage.
    • If you plan on ordering more than 80% of your total 2023 order, please communicate with me before doing so.
    • If you need a reminder on how to enter your Show and Sell order, watch this tutorial: Training Video Links (pecatonicariverpopcorn.com)
    • Are you a brand-new unit this year selling popcorn?? AWESOME and welcome to the sale! Don’t forget you get $500 in free product to sell. You do not need to order this product; it will be at Show and Sell pick up for you.

IMPORTANT! If you are getting kicked out of the ordering site and sent back to the dashboard, please try the below:

For anyone getting “kicked” back to the dashboard…

  1. Clear cache
  2. Clear history
  3. Update cookie settings (below)

Google Chrome

  1. In the top right corner of the browser, click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon, and then click Settings.
  2. On the Settings page, click Privacy and security.
  3. Click Third-party cookies, and then select the Allow third-party cookies radio button.

Safari on Mac OS

  1. On the Mac OS bar, click Safari > Settings.
  2. Click Privacy, and then clear the Prevent cross-site tracking checkbox.
  3. Click Advanced Settings, and then clear the Block all cookies checkbox.

Safari on iOS (iPhone and iPad)

  1. Go to Settings > Safari.
  2. Under Privacy & Security, turn off the Prevent Cross-Site Tracking option.
  3. Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced.
  4. Under Privacy, turn off the Block All Cookies option.

Mozilla FireFox

  1. In the top menu bar, click Firefox, and then select Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. Select the Custom option.
  4. Allow cookies by clearing the Cookies checkbox.

Microsoft Edge

  1. In the top right corner, click Settings and more, and then click Settings.
  2. Click Cookies and site permissions.
  3. On the Cookies and data stored page, click Manage and delete cookies and site data, and then set the following options:
    • Enable Allow sites to save and read cookie data. (recommended).
    • Disable Block third-party cookies.
