His Eagle project, in his own words, “Portal, Inc., is a non-profit located in Grafton, Wisconsin. It is their mission to better the lives of people with disabilities and assist in bettering the community through their daytime programs & career services. They are always looking to improve its participant’s experience by curating new activities, but those activities need a foundation & infrastructure. This project involved the addition of a >65 ft privacy fence that Portal could potentially use to create a mural, 7 new raised garden planters made with Recycled Plastic Lumber, and 8 new Aldo Leopold Benches made from Recycled Plastic Lumber.”

His unit leader is James Deguire.

An Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for November 10, 2024.

Annabelle Miller is a member of Troop 6762, chartered by West Bend Moose Lodge 1398 of West Bend, WI. Annabelle completed her Eagle Board of Review on July 24, 2024.

In her words, “My Eagle Scout project was for the Washington County Humane Society, I redid 6 benches backs and seats. I also made 4 more benches for them. As well as a supply drive. The benches help when they are showing the animals and the supplies benefit all the different types of animals at the Washington County Humane Society.”

Her unit leader is Melody Burgardt.

Annabelle’s Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for October 20, 2024.

Cian Parish is a member of Troop 105, chartered by the First United Presbyterian Church in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Cian completed his Eagle Board of Review on August 12, 2024.

In his words, “Although my project was small, it made a meaningful impact on Brimley Area Schools. After noticing that there wasn’t anywhere to sit in the hallways during or after school, especially during varsity basketball and volleyball games, I decided to tackle the issue. I brought the idea to the principal, and together we came up with a plan. Since the school already had benches, I chose to replicate them to keep the school’s overall look. There are now four new benches, two at each of the main entrances. I was lucky enough to have all the materials donated by local lumber yards and got to use the school’s shop room and tools to complete the project. I hope this leaves a lasting impression on the community.”

His unit leader is Dave Pine.

Cian’s Eagle Court of Honor is yet to be scheduled.

Markus Prigge is a member of Troop 824, chartered by the Elkhart Lake (WI) Scout Holding Association. Markus completed his Eagle Board of Review on June 6, 2024.

His Eagle project, in his own words, “I grew up not far from the Rhine Civil War Monument in the Town Rhine, Elkhart Lake and wanted to improve it’s appearance. It’s the second oldest Civil War Monument in the state. With the help of my family and my Troop and their families, we washed and painted the fence, removed all the existing plants and weeds, tilled and edged a new bed, planted new plants, mulched, had a few dead trees removed and removed a large brush/overgrown area off the back hill. The area is now brighter and has new life to it. I hope my project reminds community members to stop and remember the men who never returned, – they will never be forgotten.”

Marcus’ unit leader is Derek Schukow.

A date for his court of honor is yet to be scheduled as he begins college studies at the University of Wisconsin at Platteville this month.

Jayce Rhoads is a member of Troop 744, chartered by the Kewaskum (WI) Kiwanis Club. Jayce completed his Eagle Board of Review on June 4, 2024.

In his words, “My project is a simple shoreline restoration along the Milwaukee River in Kewaskum, WI. My helpers and I dug small 2”x2”x4” holes for each plant in a 6’x20’ section along the river. I picked out three different plant species which included Swamp Milkweed, Sprengel’s Sedge, and Grass-Leaved Goldenrod. The intended benefit is to bring stability to the shoreline as well as attract butterflies and other pollinators.”

His unit leader is Gary Butzlaff.

There are no plans to schedule an Eagle Court of Honor.

Zachary Wisnefske is a member of Troop 885, chartered by St Paul Lutheran Church of Sheboygan Falls, WI. Zachary completed his Eagle Board of Review on August 1, 2024.

For the project, he was asked to restore a 10 acre parcel for the Sheboygan Area School District. As part of this restoration, he lead crews the in planting of 120 native trees and shrubs along with adding 4 pollinator gardens to bring butterflies and hummingbirds back to the area. Additionally, he had teams build 2 picnic tables that would be placed near the walking paths for the community to enjoy while walking in the nature paths.

His unit leader is Bruce Wisnefske.

Zachary’s Eagle Court of Honor is scheduled for December 7, 2024.
