We are excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Bay-Lakes Council Convention will be held at the Green Lake Conference Center in Green Lake, WI, on April 14-16, 2023. Green Lake Conference Center is located on 900 scenic acres on the shores of Wisconsin’s deepest lake. The ‘acre per person’ facility offers contemplative and inspirational quiet places and trails. Green Lake Conference Center is rooted in deep history. Explore the historical sites of interest.

Bay-Lakes Council is considered one of the best Councils in the nation and it’s because of you, the Scouts, Scouters, volunteers, and family that make up our Scouting community. At the convention, we will be recognizing all you do for the youth in Eastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Thanks for being the support that keeps local Scouting alive.

This is one of the not-to-be-missed events of 2023!  No matter your position in Scouting, there is content for you. Friday night opens with a “2023 Kentucky Derby” themed appreciation event. Saturday continues with leader training, Council Annual Business Meeting, District Awards, Special Recognitions, and so much more.

We are bringing in national caliber speakers to inspire you and there will be plenty of time for getting reacquainted with fellow Scouters from across the council!

We can’t wait to welcome you, spend time celebrating as a council, and continue training for leaders. You won’t want to miss this annual event.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Todd Huston
Motivational Speaker
W. Scott Sorrels
National Commissioner

Scott has served many positions within the Scouts at the unit, council, area, and regional levels. He has served as the National Commissioner Service Chairman, vice chair for the National Venturing Committee, the Area 9 president for the Southern Region, Venturing chair for the Southern Region.

Scott provides volunteer service and leadership to worldwide, national, and local nonprofit and charitable youth-development organizations, including his role as co-chair for the 2019 World Scout Jamboree.
