Our vision is for the Bay-Lakes Council, BSA to be the leading youth organization in our service area fostering character development and values-based leadership. We provide programs and services to over 9,000 youth in 36 counties from Eastern Wisconsin to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We strive to instill young people with lifetime values and develop in them the leadership skills and ethical characteristics as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. We provide support for families and promote positive change overall through our Annual Campaign. When you give to the Bay-Lakes Council, BSA, you help youth prepare to be the leaders of tomorrow allowing them to develop self-confidence, ethics, leadership, academic, and citizenship skills which will positively influence their decisions as adults.

How to Apply

In order for us to process your application, you must complete the confidential Financial Assistance Request Form. A completed membership application with parent/adult signature, unit leader signature & unit number is required at the time of request.

A financial request is required per individual requesting assistance for each Scouting year. Request are only for membership assistance and should not include cost of Scouts Life subscription, handbooks, uniforms, etc.

Selection Process

Eligibility for financial assistance will be determined by the appropriate staff, based on a review of the request form and at times a personal conversation with the applicant. The length of assistance will not exceed twelve months. Requests may or may not be granted based on available funds and eligibility.

The Bay-Lakes Council, BSA reserves the right to accept only qualifying applicants.
