Join us in congratulating these recent Bay-Lakes Council Eagle Scouts:

Brandon Biechler, Troop 127 of Appleton, WI, Gathering Water District
Josiah Feldhausen, Troop 1139 of Allouez, WI, Voyageur District
Logan Gregor, Troop 1033 of West Bend, WI, Kettle Country District

Brandon Biechler, a member of Troop 127, chartered by  Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Appleton, WI, completed his Eagle Board of Review on June 16, 2022. In his words, “My Eagle project was a great experience of not only helping the beneficiary but for me learning leadership. The project was for a split rail fence and planting of native shrubs bordering the fence line. The project was completed at Heckrodt Wetland Reserve in Menasha, WI. The need for protecting the fragile wetland ground and yet allowing the children who visit to explore and learn was the main purpose of the fence area. The area has a playground and an education area for children so the fencing will allow the animals of the wetland pass over but yet have a natural looking boarder for the visitors to stay behind.”

His unit leader is Jeff Anderson. A Court of Honor will be scheduled during this second half of 2022.

Josiah Feldhausen, a member of Troop 1139, Allouez, WI, chartered by Resurrection Catholic Church completed his Eagle Board of Review on May 10, 2022. (Coincidentally, the same date as his parent’s 25th wedding anniversary.)

In his own words, “I Ied a project to build an outside information kiosk near the retaining pond below Heritage Hill off the Fox River Trail in the Village of Allouez.  The village will use the kiosk to communicate and educate trail users about the trail and retaining pond. Many trail users do not realize that the retaining pond next to the trail is part of the trail. The pond serves as a storm water retaining pond for Heritage Hill State Park. The area is full of wildlife including many different species of waterfowl that might not be noticed from the trail.”

His unit leader is Neil Walker. Josiah’s Eagle Court of Honor was held June 26, 2022, at St. Matthew Parish, Allouez.

Logan Gregor, a member of Troop 796, chartered by St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of West Bend, WI, completed his Eagle Board of Review on June 20, 2022.

In his words, “My project was a large walk-in enclosure for injured birds of prey, such as eagles, hawks, and owls.”

His unit leader is Brian Hubbard. A Court of Honor is planned for fall of this year
