Join the Bay-Lakes Council Sponsored NRA Basic Rifle Shooting and Basic Shotgun Shooting Courses at Bear Paw Scout Camp on September 17 – 19, 2021!
Students will be trained in the National Rifle Association (NRA) basic methods of rifle and shotgun shooting. Attendance and participation in this training does not guarantee your completion of the courses. Students must show proper knowledge, skills, and attitude, by passing both a written exam AND practical shooting qualification. Those who pass these classes will be qualified to become NRA Basic Rifle Instructor Candidates and Basic Shotgun Instructor Candidates. These next level NRA Basic instructor classes for each discipline will be held in the Spring of 2022.
Cost: $125 for Registered Scouting members; $200 for non-Scouting members. Fees include NRA materials, lodging, and meals. Students are required to bring their own firearms and ammunition. Rental firearms and ammunition for purchase will be available for an additional fee.

Event Check-out: 12:00 PM on Sunday September 19, 2021
This course is limited to 20 participants. Registration is on a first come, first-served basis with payment due at registration. Please register early to ensure your place in this course.

NOTE: Time requirements for Basic Rifle Shooting is 8 hours and Basic Shotgun Shooting is 10 hours. Please prepare accordingly.
Cancellation Policy: The organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change the venue, date, and time of the course should unforeseen circumstances occur. In the event the course is unable to proceed, and the organizer cancels the course for any reason, fees paid for the course shall be fully refunded. The organizer shall not be liable for any direct, or indirect, consequential, or special damages that may be incurred due to such cancellation, including, but not limited to travel expenses, cancellation penalties and any other private expenses.
